In Guzelsu, the Kurdish village at
the foot of the Hosap castle, the children were in business making ornaments
by peas, nuts, straws and thread. The objects will hardly survive the homeward
ride, but it's worth trying. I think the most important thing is to give the
children a success in their attempt to earn money by making business and not by
begging. Hope I contributed to a little self confidence to the oldest of the
girls in her business.
