But the country is divided already. And the
always present Turkish army seems to be the force that keeps the
Kurdish identity alive. Each day the canyon between the two people becomes deeper;
by every control, every shot, every humiliation. Who is not Kurdish around? The
army, and may be the police. And when they stop you for control, you turn off
the Kurdish music, behave calmly and do what you are told. And all around people ask carefully:
"What do you think about the Kurds? Do you like Kurdish music?
