Abram couldn't accept the pagan gods of the Assyrian king Nimrod.
So the king threw him into the fire. But Abram's god made the fire into water,
the burning coal into carps. Consequently the fishes are sacred, and if you eat
of them, you'll become blind (if you're not a cat). But you can feed them. But not
with bread, as it swells inside the stomach. Sacred or not, fishes are stupid and
they eat and eat even when full. People throw bread and simits (salty crisps) at
them to see them fight, watching them push the simits around like circus fishes.
