Villages, people and tools belong to ancient
times. Hay from grass on huge plains cut by
scythes put up in stacks tall as
houses. Cattle,
dogs big as horses, little boys saddleless on
horsebacks.
And a lonely steppenwolf, a red
one trying to be smarter than the shepherd
and
the shepherd dogs.
