Some areas are closed for military
reasons. They probably expect the Greeks to return claiming the last few islands.
Inside i guarded fence, behind a military sign of warning there is an abandoned
Greek orthodox monastery with a tiny ruin with some Christian frescoes. I asked the
soldiers if they allowed me the five, six steps inside for a better view of the
attractions. But that was impossible. Their polite smiles seemed a little embarassed
when refusing me, and people passing teased them - or the rules.

On the tiny island there are space for a private
school and a naval academy. Besides a hospital, where female patients are asked
to keep to the left and males to the right. Really aphartheid. I wondered if the
ambulance where horse driven, until I saw a real one. And here is a police car
and three ordinary fire engines. And a dolmus.
